Soda Blasting is a process that can strip almost any surface in an efficient and safe manner. Although it is similar to traditional sand blasting, it has the significant advantage of cleaning the surface without causing harm to the delicate substrate or to the environment. Virtually any coating can be removed from most any surface. The soda blaster uses compressed air to deliver sodium bicarbonate based media (baking soda) onto the surface to be cleaned. Soda Blasting easily removes carbon, grease, oils, gasket material, surface corrosion, paint and coatings from a variety of alloys, plastics and composites without substrate damage or distortion. Soda Blasting leaves hard anodized coatings intact.
The Soda blast media is FDA approved, nontoxic, and contains no free silica; it is non-sparking, nonflammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally safe.
